Burnside Primary School - Beginners Netball Program


Taught and Bowled will be running a netball program during Term 4, 2023 for Burnside Primary School students.


The program is for children in Reception to Year 3 and will introduce participants to the skills of the game. The program will be split into two groups. Reception and Year 1 students will participate in a basic netball skills program, including gross motor skills and teamwork. Year 2 and 3 students will participate in a program that will focus more on match play and skills to prepare them for when they are able to participate in the school netball team.


All sessions will be delivered by experienced, qualified coaches and the skills taught are based on what is outlined in the Netball Australia’s Core Curriculum of Skills.



The program will run on Friday afternoons from 3:30-4:30pm in the school gym. Dates below

  • Friday 20 October
  • Friday 27 October
  • Friday 3 November - no session 
  • Friday 10 November
  • Friday 17 November - no session 
  • Friday 24 November
  • Friday 1 December
  • Friday 8 December

The cost of the program is $76 per participant (+gst) and each participant will receive either a netball and Taught and Bowled drink bottle (first time participants), a Taught and Bowled backpack (second time participants), a Taught and Bowled t-shirt (third time participants), a Taught and Bowled cap (fourth time participants), a Taught and Bowled cooler bag (fifth time participants) or a Taught and Bowled mug for sixth time participants, soft ball for seventh time participants, a Taught and Bowled sweatband for eighth time participants, a Taught and Bowled hand highlighter for ninth time participants and a Taught and Bowled hair ribbon for tenth time participants!
